Talking to people. I used to be very socially active and loved to be around people, talking to them. But when I got the original Covid in early 2020, it affected my voice and now my voice is extremely hoarse, shaky, and quiet and no one can understand anything I say and I am very self conscious and completely avoid talking to people unless I have to. I have given up all social interaction. Work is a nightmare because I work customer service and have to talk to people and no one understands me and I have to repeat myself and people are always asking me what happened to my voice.
@Mardrae That sucks. I worked with a woman who had throat surgery, and afterwards her voice was a whisper. I'm sure it was frustrating for her and others, especially when everything she said had a response of "what?" Any chance it will improve?

@BrewCityBarfly I have no idea. I have 2 mast cell diseases from Covid and my voice gets a lot worse when I am in a flare, so I guess it's an ongoing thing. I just avoid people now. Gave up my religion, dating, everything.
@Mardrae Sorry about that. I'll save any advice, I'm sure you've explored all kinds of things. Hoping it gets better and you can get back to some form of normalcy.
