I believe most of us have a strong [u]sense of fate[/u]. We are tempted to believe that all things happen for a reason, and to an end. It's not in the things, it's in [u]us[/u]. It's a category of the human [u][u]mind[/u][/u], a way to [u]see[/u] the world.
