It's Lesson # 2

My second driving lesson.

Again, with dad. Cold day today, so had the heating up. Again in the 'Starship Enterprise', as we call the people carrier, monster of a vehicle that he drives.

So, getting a little bit more acquainted with the controls, the layout and the process - am I going to admit to when I sit down, I mentally and physically go through the process of braking and taking off? No, that'll be my little secret! Lol! - so this time was a little more manageable.

Some India Arie on the sound system, down low, just to relax me.

An hour later, we swap seats. My head is aching from the concentration. Dad smiles. Drives me back, and says

"That was better, Jas. Have you been practicing with Amber or Jen? No? Really? Wow, very impressed!"

He gave me a hug and a little while later went off.

Feeling quite happy. Proud.

Now to get rid of this blasted headache!

Keep doing it often and it will all be second nature as there day. Way to go!!! I was skilled by age 15, getting formal training. Here we are allowed to drive on a “learners permit” after some professional training. The permit allows for driving with a parent. In fact, you are required to complete a certain amount of hours driving on permit before taking the final driving test. All this at age 15. The. When you are 16, you are eligible for a license. Congrats!!!
