There was a woman giving her daughter some water last night while I was checking into the homeless shelter and it hurt me and it made me feel helpless

Partly because I know I shouldn't be at a homeless shelter in the first place. I am youngish, strong, and capable of working a low level nine to five. But if i could help anyone it would be that woman and her kids.

And on a post script someone went through the bag a had to stash because you can only bring in one bag. I don't know why they even went through my stuff it was just books, a couple of notebooks which only one had writing in it, some pens and a mechanical pencil, my laptop charger, a bag of soft chew candy, and a chocolate bar. The only things they took was the pen and paper, laptop charger, the notebook I had scribbled something in, (nothing good or interesting) and the bag of candy and chocolate bar.

Nothing worth anything to them but now im without my laptop until I can get another charger and I was looking forward to eating that candy when I woke up this morning, but instead I find the bag with my books and things strewn along the ground.
