I'm glad someone cleared up that we are not boomers! Many of younger generations call us Boomers, when for me anyway, my parents were boomers.

@JimboSaturn Some people also call teenagers "Millennials" when they criticize them. All the millennials are adults now.

@bijouxbroussard I just don't refer to people as anything now lol. But yes, I get confused as well.

@JimboSaturn I think a lot of young people think "boomer" simply refers to "old people who I can't relate to", and are not aware that the word refers to a "baby boom".

@JimboSaturn I’m a (late) boomer and my parents were part of the "Silent" generation.
bijouxbroussard · F
@DrWatson I think you’re right about that.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@DrWatson Yes I figured that is what they meant. It's like in the 60's calling anyone over 30 "squares".
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard I was born in 69 so I guess I am close to being a boomer.

@JimboSaturn "Don’t Trust Anyone Over 30"?
Seems hilarious now. 😅

@bijouxbroussard Totally absurd! Ageist little shits. These days 30 is the new 15 :P
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@JimboSaturn Wow, I haven't heard that term in ages! 😄
When I was in college in the early 70's, a friend of mine told me about his lab supervisor complaining about all the student radicals who were staging protests about the Vietnam war. He referred to them as "beatniks!"

@JimboSaturn Yes. I was born in 1960 and the boom ended in 1964.
