A platform of 'Not my responsibility' by just about every world leader in power today.
The world is looking for leadership and direction following the mistakes and catastrophic system failures that led to and was the cause of so many unnecessary covid deaths.
A planet in mourning.

@Picklebobble2 Hey Pickle; just for discussion rather than dispute: When it comes to "Not my responsibility" how much of the blame for our failures should lie at the door of leaders, and how much with the general population? (I'm thinking of what I see as universal lack of forethought and mindless over consumption in the 'developed' world.) Could a population not have foreseen the consequences of its 'lifestyle' and changed course accordingly - or is our predicament (which I think is past the point of no return) just the inevitable result of 'Nature' at work?

@Really There were lessons learned by most of the populace of Europe during the pandemic.
The idea of 'social distancing' made some sort of sense.
But there was no 'social distancing' for those crammed into tube trains and busses as our leaders were telling us to carry on as normal because they didn't want the economic hit had they done the inevitable and stopped travel altogether as they did later.

Now translate that to America and the way Trump and co. were in virtual denial that anything was happening. The stubborn refusal to halt travel to and from Wuhan. Even after it being identified as the major hotspot for covid in China....until it could no longer be denied.

You'd like to think that at some point there'll be public inquiries into government advice and behaviour during covid. EVERYWHERE.
To prevent similar events from ever happening again.

@Picklebobble2 Hmm. Lessons about avoiding infection were learned not only by many in Europe but also by many elsewhere. I Don't think the reason people tried to live as 'normally' as possible again, as soon as possible, had much to do with leaders telling them to do that.

Anyway I"m thinking more of the general state of the world - climate change, pollution, resource depletion, overpopulation etc - than of just Covid. Sorry if that was a bit of a sidetrack from your topic.

@Really It's YOUR topic and the word you used was INJUSTICE. THAT'S how it relates to covid. Millions dead and not one government apologizing for the way they dealt with it.

Climate change and pollution are again government led.
we learned a long time ago not to pump crap into the atmosphere because it was affecting the health of our children......and here we are in the 21st century still discussing it while continuing to burn coal; oil and gas as if nothing's changed.
