@CrazyMusicLover A few years ago I was struggling with a mix of too many things on my plate, not much enthusiasm, and feeling like I was more an observer to the world passing by without me.
I stumbled onto a book (actually a movement) called "The Happiness Project" by a local lady named Gretchen Rubin. She too had that same general feeling about just being along on the ride and not being the driver, so she approached it as a project and the project itself gave her the focus.
A lot of her focus is about getting organized, putting purpose to little things that together give a feeling of being more in control, etc. and with the feeling of being a little more in control of one's day to day, there comes a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel.
