Escaping the Grim Reaper

A fellow was walking down the street in Ottawa one day when he met up with the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper seemed to threaten him so he ran to his friend and asked to borrow his car so he could escape the Grim Reaper by going to Toronto. The friend loaned him the car but then went down the same street in Ottawa and found the Grim Reaper standing there. He then asked the Grim Reaper why he scared his friend. The Grim Reaper explained that he was not threatening his friend. The Grim Reaper was totally taken by surprise seeing the friend in Ottawa. It would seem that the Grim Reaper was expecting to meet with that friend tonight - in Toronto.

I guess this is saying you can't escape death.

Feels like I'm reading the dialogue of how it goes after a couple of drinks with my Zambian father in law *Odins Men Style Chuckle*

@BritishFailedAesthetic Its a riff on an old Persian saying. Yes it means that no matter where you run or how well you hide death does come to us all.
