Does life become linear?

I remember being younger and feeling overwhelmed of the infinite possibilities ahead of me. And now I feel I have no choice over anything, and no one around me does. I don't care about being happy anymore, I just need to survive and try to suffer as least as possible.

Life has always been that. You have choices now and it's only going to get more difficult. But don't think about that too much either. Only use time wisely :-)

@Danimonita Yes, that it was. I did spend numerous hours alone in my bedroom poundering things out. Anything under the sky in fact. I was 27 when I discovered my sexuality. That was pretty late. And that was, I seem to remember, just after my decision to go for librarian training instead. Earning so-called real money isn't it all. Happiness is
