In my younger years, I had the privilege of attending not just one, but two of Dr. Maya Angelou's appearances, part of a distinguished speaker series in Pasadena, CA.
She was bigger than life. She shared her messages of love and perseverance in the form of song, poetry, and beautifully articulated stories.
I always had to take tissue because I always wound up in tears.
That is really amazing......I would have loved to experience her in person with her song, poetry, and stories. You were very lucky. You are right....she was and still is a precious gem. 馃挅
