Difficult simplicity

There is life to be lived underneath all the worry, the stress, the pain and disappointment. We are so many things at once…or can be, when we remember anyway. Click the kaleidoscope, let the colors fall into a different pattern - the other still exists in the array, but it doesn’t have to be what you’re looking at. I am still a heart, a soul, a mind that needs to stretch and reach and thrill, and nobody else needs to understand that, share that, in order for it to have value. I do not need to be true in the bits and pieces others choose. I will put one foot in front of the other, and if I’m buried before I reach my destination, whatever that may be, I can be proud that I was headed in the right direction. That I was headed anywhere at all.
