Her best friend was an intersex girl who was pretty blokey apparently, thats how my mum described them anyway. Probably now they would identify as a guy, i dunno, just speculation🤷♀️. This was like in the 1930s.
Then she made close friends with a couple who gambled, loved alcohol and also never married🤷♀️. Completley unacceptable in the 1940s.
The woman in the relationship was a complete alcoholic, drank 24/7, women like this were ostracised in that time I think. She always looked good and worked tho, wasnt a "bad" drunk ig
