Just A Little Blip In The Road.

Firstly....Happy Thanksgiving to all you over the other side of the pond. Secondly....Happy Christmas! Thirdly....Happy New Year!

Oh dear ?!? Has it really been that long? I guess it has.

Life's been a little tough for me...and for my loved ones.

Mental exhaustion - keeping everyone positive in the school that I work (Deputy Head), worries of the children, the families and their hardships they're facing (food/gas & electric bills skyrocketing etc) alongside my parents - feels a lot like keeping plates spinning.

Thankfully, the wife - the inimitable Sammy Jo - has been a rock (nothing new there!) and kept things on an even keel.

Just felt tired for months on end....wanting to sleep...not really wanting to eat.....but I've managed to come through that...gently nudged into counselling, which has helped a lot.

Then, when I felt better and ready to hit work again.....they start the strikes!

ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

...but I'm all for them, and stand by my teachers taking action that they feel is right.

So that's where I am right now.

Still a bit tired. Being a parent to a very clever young lady....having to be supportive, in an owner way, to our lovely cat....and watching the wife pop off to work.

Curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine..
