Alright, serious questions. What exactly the fuck is people's beef with the term "female" used to refer to, well, FEMALES?

Was bio that hard of a fucking class that biological terms give you flashbacks?

You do realize that not all females are women and not all women are females, right?

In order to specify exactly what group one is referring to "female" is highly necessary in these days and times.

Or is it the specification itself that people have an issue with? Does the distinction make people uncomfortable?

I don't fuckin get it man 😒 😕

You never hear men griping about being called male. I get that that doesn't happen as much but if it did I assure you only the pussiest of us would care.

As someone who lived most of their life as a woman I can kinda explain.

Female can be appropriate medically but depending on person, tone, and context it can have a STANK to it. It's an othering word said like "FEmale" to remind us of our place.

It kinda sounds like you're asking about trans people in a roundabout way so I will add that the prefixes "cis" and "trans" before the gender is used to distinguish and works perfectly well. Trans men/women and cis men/women are both men/women. Oh and non binary people exist and can need medical transition and deserve support like any other queer person!!!
