I just cant......

I just cant take spiritual guidance, life advice, or any other advice from someone who is holier than thou one minute and is hittin a crackpipe the next minute. Sorry....... but, just take it down the road..... I'm doin fine as I am. LOL Sorry to vent, but I have an idiot in my family who is tryin to save me from hell when he cant keep his own ass straight. LOL

Crack addicts don't make the best life coaches in my opinion.
@JimboSaturn very true....... unless they are tellin me to not smoke crack. which is good advice, that Im already taking. 🤣

That's part of the problem with organized religion, they teach one to justify their own problems while condemning you for yours. You gotta clean your own house before you can clean someone else's.

That's why I could never take religion seriously, not even when I was a kiddo. I don't have a problem w religious people, it's just most who try to convert you are exactly those who use it as a mean to justify their bad habits and all that
@Andromedanian I have nothing against religion or God. But, I do have limits as to who I discuss religion with. LOL

@YourMomsSecretCrush I think in their heart they are not trying to help you at all and truly dont give a shit about you. Its all about their own insecurity and need to bully (ot attempt to in your case)
@JimboSaturn i have never ever been one to ask advice or seek advice....... i prefer to work my own shit out. so, when i get unsolicited advice....... its usually met with

I have known some crack head philosophers in my day.
They can actually be pretty deep at times.
Real thinkers.
They have a lot of time looking at life from the gutter of another dimension.
Wouldn't have them over for dinner or nothing. LOL

I can’t stand being preached at period, even if they are holier than thou. Everyone has every right to believe whatever they want to believe.

I hear you. Too many wannabes out there, especially ghetto type pastors
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
They tell everyone but themselves how they should live and fool no one.

I don't even know what to say, but it's weighing on my mind.
Things have gone batshit crazy since covid started and some police are saying the
same thing and saying it's not getting better any time soon. Too many people being
found dead lately.
I have a bit of religiousness in me but am more of a spiritual person.
Your family member might want to fix his problem. He probably doesn't think he has one.
Religious or not, many people want to advise while never working on their own issues or seeing
what they should. Has anyone tried to get him to go for help? I guess that's a silly question.
According to him, he doesn’t have a problem. Just the rest of the world. 🙄@SW-User

@YourMomsSecretCrush Sounds about right. Too often, people don't own up to their own problems/issues.
