People seriously need to learn how to be kinder to each other
There are a lot of people out there who say they want a relationship, but what they actually mean is they want a utility. It’s like the other person only exists to expedite Jane or Joe’s agenda.
Over the last few years John and I have been given some absolutely terrible love life advice, but what’s been more startling for me is realizing how normalized that advice is.
It’s all very mememe, I want I want I want how to train your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife kind of like a dog you’re trying to domesticate.
It’s surreal to me how often people are casually a jerk (not talking abuse. Different topic), self-involved, or inconsiderate of each other while in a relationship and expect the other person to just.. smile through it..
Then they wonder why their relationships suck. 😬
