A conversation between life and Death that will amaze you!
Without getting into religion and personal dogma, I think it’s fair to conclude that death might be the biggest fear humans have. The only problem is that you cannot run away from this fear. Sooner or later you will have to face it.
Here’s what happened when Life met Death one fine day. While reading, be a sponge. Soak up all the messages and ideas presented----
-LIFE – Hello! Death, Sister, where are you?
DEATH – Wow! What a surprise? How come you are remembering me today?
LIFE – Yes, it is indeed a surprise, when I don’t remember you.
DEATH – Yeh! Mostly people are ignorant and consider me inauspicious.
LIFE - Why do people love me but hate you?
DEATH - Because you are a beautiful lie, and I'm the painful truth.
LIFE – But where are you?
DEATH – I am very much hidden inside you, all the time. You simply do not have either the time or the importance to visualize me.
LIFE – You are hidden inside me? How come it is possible? You are nothing less than a mystery. You come as a surprise and demolish the entire structure of endeavors and dreams within few seconds.
DEATH – Oh no sister! I am not a surprise. I am certainty in fact, you are a surprise.
LIFE – Me and surprise? I am the apparent reality?
DEATH – Yes, you are the apparent reality, but I am the solitary, real, reality.
LIFE - Why do people constantly personify us?
DEATH - Because it makes esoteric and frightening ideas easier to deal with.
LIFE - I thought it's gonna end other way around. I give people everything, yet some people still wish to meet you, why is that, Death?
DEATH - That's because for some people I'm just the cold hand of death, taking them from life, and for others I'm freedom.
LIFE – What makes you proclaim that I am a surprise?
DEATH – Look you are in a human body which has 10 pores or holes. The amazing fact is, all the holes are open and yet you are imprisoned inside the body. I liberate you from this cage, as an excuse in the form of a disease-disorder or an accident.
LIFE – Of course! It is a rational logic. But tell me, how should I derive benefit out of you?
DEATH – Look, dear sister Life! Once you remember me each moment, initially consciously, later on sub-consciously, then you will cease to attach yourself to all the temporary relations and articles of this world. This will enable you to feel the freedom from the clutches of false ego.
LIFE – Oh my God! This is a dangerous scenario. If I get detached from relations and articles, then what charm will be left, without emotions?
DEATH – See, my sister! Once you detach yourself from worldly affairs, a true and right connection will be established. The right connection is very different from false attachment.
LIFE – How attachment with world is different from connection?
DEATH – Life, Sister! Try to understand the huge difference between attachment and connection. Attachment is external and selfish. Connection is internal and without any selfish motive. For example, a child is attached to mother. He/Her becomes prejudiced and does not distinguish between right and wrong, but side with her, unequivocally.
LIFE – So affection becomes the infatuation between the two.
DEATH – On the other hand, connection between the two will transform affection into greedless love. The child will do everything to glorify the image of her/his mother and bring laurels to her. So that when the mother passes away from this world, there are no regrets. The two harbor a mature relationship amongst themselves without any tantrums, illusions or expectations as both are honest and sincere.
