Exactly. A while back, shoe stores would cut the old shoes they were tossing into the dumpsters so homeless and destitute people seeking footwear couldn't wear them. That stopped when people found out.
I agree, fuck these pieces of shit who go out of their way to hurt people

@TrashCat Why the fuck would they do that!!!? Like is there any logic behind it or just plain hatred.
TrashCat · M
@BittersweetPotato righ? Here is an example of that same practice. Apparently it's still going on

@Jonjdw businesses doing it for businesses sake is not an excuse. If it is in the trash then they weren't going to make any money with it anyway; its already lost to them. So why destroy it out of spite?
That's like if i finish my food and you're hungry but i dont want you to have it and i cant take it with me so I spit in it.
For ex: if a blanket store has some blankets they have to throw away and they cut them up so the homeless can't use them to stay warm.
I don't care about corporate rules or laws or what have you. The employee who obeys that order has that same shit inside of them that drove the nazis to obey the order to commit genocide.
We dont need humans like that in our world.

@Eternity i’m not saying I disagree with you I’m just saying business is business just like in the mafia.
It’s business and those are different rules. I believe in whatever you want as an employee you can quit your job or business is still business
Also agree with you I would not like doing that. Plus a business can donate their stuff and get a tax write off.
So I don’t understand why business would do that unless it was just easier for them
When I first read your post I thought about people regular people doing it.
Does your post only mean businesses or is it regular people doing this also

A few days ago, I was walking in Turkey and saw a woman looking through the garbage. Broke my heart into little pieces and brought tears to my eyes on the spot. Why the fuck would anyone sabotage leftovers so that a hungry person couldn't eat them. It is beyond me, do people really do that? And why???!

@BittersweetPotato see what i told @SW-User

I had no idea this happened.
Is there a spin story they have for doing this?

@SW-User they figure since they paid for it they dont want others to get it for free.
They also try to say it is a liability thing but that is BS. They avoid accountability for shit that really is their fucking fault all the time so im pretty sure they could dodge that too if they were inclined to try.

@Eternity It's a whole corrupt system. And it's always going to be the general public who suffer, the poorer they are, the more they suffer.
