why is it the things in life that make life feel worth living are bad for you???

i dont want to give up nicotine or kratom :( they say vaping can cause inflammation (which causes pain when it gets severe) and kratom can cause joint pain, both of which i've been getting. waaah

Yes vaping is very hard on your lungs, sorry to say. People are dying from vaping.

Once you give it up you feel better, once you get over the hump, you'll be glad you did it...life goes on without these detractors...
Addictions often make you ‘feel good’ but it’s temporary. And the long term health issues are real….

So decide what is good for you and what is not…for without your own willpower to stop vaping, you can’t get rid of this habit. Even if you have the best support system.

I totally get you. I once saw a post on stuff that makes you worse, turns out I liked doing a lot of things on that list. 😔

You may be reading the wrong books, wrong posts and the news is not helpful.

Things that are good for you bring elevated heart rate and provide that feeling.

Enjoying the things you like aren’t bad for you but don’t be a dummy about it.

I may not have answered your question but I saved you from a long message from me by just saying this, everything in moderation.

What’s good for you is finding a to help your community even if just for a couple hours a month.

I have been using it for 4 years. I take about 3 1/2 grams in the morning, and 4 1/2 grams in the afternoon before I work out. I'm 63 and feel great, no side effects with the amount I take.

@DogMan cool. i take a flat teaspoon in the morning before i workout and another flat teaspoon around noon. (i a an early riser.) if im staying up late i might have a third dose but not usually. i just have this mild joint pain. its worth it lol.

The thing you like is the feel and thoughts it gives and not the thing you consume.. so find a way to get the feel without consuming any substance..

I'm a diabetic and had to give up booze. Weed is still illegal and cops/courts still prosecute it as a felony.

@Crazywaterspring Can you take CBD? It has a calming effect and legal in most places...
You are confusing

the romaticized "making life worth living"

with the reality "are addicting"

Sex is (usually) great for you. Endorphins can distract any little habit you usually go-to
agetheweebeast · 41-45, M
Be careful with kratom, a friend of mine used it and it didn't do him much good
Driver2 · M
You have much more than those things to feel good about.

Cure one ailment … create another

Patience with yourself is good in this scenario, take time to be good to you by finding joy in natural beauty such as fresh air, nature and home cooked nutritious meals … music or meeting a friend for coffee, some real conversation.
