One of the most common problems for blended families is the kids disliking each other, so I’m always grateful Sam and Jay like hanging out.
It’s simplistic and heartwarming.
John’s kiddo, Peter is here for the weekend. Peter’s been eagerly waiting for Sam to wake up. I hear the murmur of them ecstatically gabbing away about the galaxy nightlight on Sam’s ceiling. When I check on them I see Sam is showing Peter a book he might enjoy. Later we have a thing with John’s family that Peter is hoping Sam is well enough to still join.
