Don’t take relationship advice from people who have a pattern of lousy relationships.
Don’t take career advice from people who suck at climbing the ladder or hate their job.
Don’t take financial advice from people who always seem to be broke.
Don’t take advice on accomplishing your goals or dreams from people who have a habit of not following through on their own.
Don’t take advice about existential fulfillment from people who are often unhappy or find your values un-relatable /inferior.
Etc.. The list goes on and on.
Instead, seek out insight from people doing well in those areas that you consider meaningful, take notes, and see what is applicable.
