Lest we become.

The world can only be seen in whatever way you see yourself. If you hate yourself, you’ll hate the world. Conversely, if you love yourself, you’ll love the world. Vise versa.

However, the vast majority of people are extremely uncomfortable with this fact because it means if they see wrong in life, that’s only because that’s how they see theirself which means it’s their fault and many don’t agree with that idea.

To them, if you hate the world for what’s it’s done to you or others, then that’s the world’s fault. Right? Well no, remember what I opened with. If you hate the world that’s only because you’re hating yourself. Here’s what happens if you still don’t accept that.

Since they’re above their own blame. They deny the evil in theirselves. The cruelty within them. The corruption they possess. They feel above these things. The result is trauma or long-term mental distress caused by a disconnect from the self.

You go through life doing what’s called projecting or subconsciously applying your personal characteristics to the world not acknowledging them as your own.

Of course is it not love to reject oneself, so they go through life unable to properly love anything, but they lead their charge with this massive misconception that they are on the righteous path because to them, they’re not all these things they’re accusing the world of.

Perhaps you’ve heard this, it takes one to know one. Indeed, that’s very true. This is why you must reconnect and bond with yourself by becoming aware of and forgiving all your selfishness. Believe me it’s there. No one is above sin. Only then will you start seeing the world as something to be loved, because you are.

In this way as strange as it might sound. We’re meant to love the evil, lest we become them.

Sometimes this is true. Other times it is not. Not all qualities that people hate/dislike in their environment are a reflection of themselves. And in many instances people are able to break away from the influence.

I think there is an overemphasis on seeing feelings as bad. They're not always. It is actions that can make the difference, not thoughts alone and beliefs.

People can hate themselves and hate the world and yet have heavy merits while someone else loves themselves and loves the world yet passes through life utterly disconnected from all else.

@Miram This is always true, it just might not be true in the specific ways you’re thinking.

For example. I never said all things people hate are exact reflections of the self. Nor did I say influence was why any of this happens. I didn’t say feelings were bad or that people who hate are without merit. I didn’t say those who love themselves are always connected either. These are all ideas you brought that are not my words.

That is lot of defensiveness without any accusation made.

@Miram Sure. I know I’m a lot of things to a lot of people.

My comment is towards your response.

@Miram So is mine.

Yes but I am not rewording it as about who I am to you.

Sure. I know I’m a lot of things to a lot of people.

Why would you think that? Seriously. Why would you believe I am describing who you are?

@Miram I didn’t say you’re describing who I am. What I was referring to was how you called me defensive, or rather, my response if that specificity is really what has you bothered. It doesn’t matter. I’m not really interested in all these straw men you keep making.
