How will you keep warm?

So I was wondering how people in the uk will keep warm this winter with the gas and electric going up.

I will not be using my heating I have invested in blankets and if I have to will wear hat and scarfs indoors.

Buy a small heater run on whatever fuel, and keep at least one room warm. Buy a portable butane or propane stove for cooking. You will need to keep the rooms well ventilated so you don’t get carbon monoxide poisoning. Buy thermal underwear and possibly a good sleeping bag. Wool socks, gloves and hats. Have flashlights, candles, and matches. Good luck!

I’ve just bought two, handy to have in.

And sleeping bags.

That’s good. I just ordered two portable stoves. One for indoors with ventilation and one for my backpack, in case I have to bug out. Also ordered water filtration and purification, plus a few other things. Still need to figure the heat source out. Either some sort of generator, or a portable heater. We had a paraffin heater when I was a kid, but don’t even know if they make those anymore, or if they are safe. Will have to research. What heater did you buy? @SW-User

@Carissimi I’ve just bought a Berkey water purifier, Kelly kettle, solar powered wind up radio, small generator. The radios great little gadget. Charges your phone.

I haven’t bought a heater, just two butane gas stoves.
