What is exactly true genuine happiness to you?
Is it possible to be truly HAPPY and content in life despite the problems we all experience? What do you think?
My Bible based thoughts on having and maintaining true HAPPINESS. Happiness does not find it's source in amassing wealth or power. Jesus said: "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving."
Jesus strikingly opened his Sermon on the Mount by enumerating nine happinesses (Matthew 5:1-12).
True HAPPINESS stems from those things that have to do with spirituality, the worship of God, and the fulfillment of God's promises (Revelation 21:3-5, Psalm 37:10-11, Isaiah 26:19, James 1:27, John 4:24, Luke 4:8).
Psalm 1:1-3 says:
HAPPY is the man who does not walk according to the advice of the wicked, and does not stand on the path of sinners, and does not sit in the seat of scoffers.
But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, and he reads His Law in an undertone day and night.
He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, a tree that produces fruit in its season, the foliage of which does not either. And everything he does will succeed." See also Jeremiah 17:7-8
Matthew 5:5 says:
"HAPPY are the mild-tempered since they will inherit the Earth 🌎🌍 See also Psalms 37:29 and Psalm 37:19-11.
Matthew 5:6 says:
"HAPPY are those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, since they will be filled."
