I mean... why not. I can't even say I'm surprised.

It looks like I've been ghosted by my therapist. I got a letter from my insurance company today explaining that she is no longer in my network. I logged into my health account to message her but her name's no longer in the list. This is what happened when the dermatologist I was seeing at the cancer center moved. I had an appointment with her shortly before she left so I had a heads up. I'm guessing my therapist has now moved away and I'll soon be getting a form letter from her about her departure. It's fine though. It's not like going through stuffs at the moment.

Is this ‘network’ something the insurance company establishes? And maybe it’s their decision not hers. She is probably still practicing if you do a search.

BTW I’m not familiar with your health system so excuse me if said something stupid.
@SW-User if she is she's recently changed locations and opted to no longer accept my insurance. I can't see why the insurance company would decide to exclude only her if she was still practicing in the area.

That's very poor of her, in my opinion.
@SW-User it's been months

@SooperSarah They should have messaged you, in my opinion... but otherwise in a way, you ghosted yourself?
@SW-User I'm sure it's easier to just print off and mail the letters than to message everyone.
And I can't really disagree with you.

Ok so i had a therapist leave a place and the place never told me. They wouldnt let my therapist tell me she was leaving nor where she was going to. They simply waited for me to make an appointment to tell me and ask me to pick someone else. ...At which point i told them off. It might be that they had the therapist sign an agreement not to poach clients. I think this is a detriment to patients of mental health care and I think it should be a banned practice.
@JaggedLittlePill wow! I hope it's not something that sinister.
Maybe it's a fraud.

I am sorry you lost your therapist. I am hoping you find a better one that’s in network.
