A brief review: Honestly, it wasn't that bad. It's more fun and safer to go with friends or acquaintances of course but it wasn't the worst going on my own either. I met interesting people.
One girl who wouldn't stop hugging me and calling me mum which weirdly isn't the first time that's happened.
A Polish guy who taught me how to say bitch.
One dude dressed like stitch from lilo and stich who I specifically shouted for and high fived because I wanted a selfie and then I also chased two penguins and dragged some other girl I was dancing with to get in the picture with me. Turns out stich and the two penguins were from the same circle of friends and were dressed up for their friends birthday.
Update: Looking back at the selfies, I'm realising there were actually 3 penguins, not two. The third one was lurking in the back plotting mass murder or something of that nature.

The girl I dragged in the pic with me was a massive geek, in an endearing way. Anyway, the endearing geek and I are going karaoke next Wednesday because who doesn't enjoy karaoke.
