Fix this for my child or fix the freezer today?

[c=BF0080]Maybe both if the first cooperates 😆 My incentive is that my kid will wake up very easy for school tomorrow if I say, “time to get up! Guess what? Your phone is fixed!”

Decisions decisions 🤭[/c]

Can that be fixed?

@Lostpoet [c=BF0080]The screen should just need to be replaced. Hopefully it’s not a deeper thing. I can fix it still if so, but I’d need to order another part. [/c]

@MellyMel22 Wouldn't it be cheaper just getting a new/used from Amazon or something?

@Lostpoet [c=BF0080]Nope! The replacement screen was only $17 and the other thing would be way cheaper. I’m not sure, but I might even have the other part. [/c]

@MellyMel22 I've never tried fixing a screen before but if it's that easy I might next time.

@Lostpoet [c=BF0080]It’s just kinda tedious. I’ve replaced more iPhone screens than I can count. This phone specifically multiple times. It all depends on your patience and if you’re able to keep track of a bunch of tiny tiny screws. In order to change the screen you have to take apart the home button, cams, ear piece, metal plate and reconnect it all to the new screen. When I went to trade in a phone awhile ago, I was offered a job replacing them 🤣 I said hell no, I don’t like doing it that much. Just saving money doing my households if needed. [/c]
