After you pay all your bills etc. can you live on what's left until next pay ?
I don't mean on welfare payments (but that's where it comes from) but on your normal job income?
I've been on welfare payments here and living is tough when you get about $500 a fortnight from the government in exchange for looking for jobs. That was over 10 yrs ago so don't know what the payments are today.
Living costs even without any extravagences do not match up with wages.
I often have less than $200 left in a fortnight after paying all the bills, but usually it's a bit more. I'm frugal with food, etc. and don't go out because that's a frivolity that costs lots of money (relatively). I might get take-out food once a week or fn.
