Is 36/37 too old to have kids?

I know kids themselves don’t ruin your life but…. like I feel they trap you and you can’t do anything with them; they also waste all your money. I know you still can do enjoyable things but it’s so much more difficult. I want to travel, spend money on MYSELF, buy a house, have a good time with my bf, and have a stable and good paying job before I even THINK about having a child. I’m 22 now but just thinking about the future 😂

I'm the same age as you and already have two kids. I have a good job as well. Oh, and I travel! I don't know why people think you can't travel when you have kids.

We're all different but having children is the best thing I've done, and ever will do.

@SW-User I couldn’t imagine my life without my kids either .
The first few years are rough but it gets better and like you I wouldn’t change it for anything .

@SW-User And the kids will be adults by the time you're 40 and you'll most likely still be around for the grandchildren and their weddings.

@AthrillatheHunt Maybe I'm different because I haven't found anything rough. The only difficulty is dealing with how much I care about them. I can't really put it into words but if their hearts were to ever hurt, I feel like my heart could break. My children have helped me in ways that are very deep and complex and completely life changing. I am a (at least I hope) better person because of them. I owe them everything, really.

@graphite Exactly :) And I'd have more young children then most likely

@SW-User I said you can do many things but it’s more difficult- from what I’ve seen in person. I obviously don’t know what having kids is like, but having kids, and especially at my age literally sounds terrible to me.
