How to find deep sense of meaning in your life?

I think a lot of the sense of meaning comes from giving of ourselves. I suspect that’s why parents often find so much meaning in the raising of their children. Giving your love and care, time and skill, contributing in some positive way to the world around you leaves a mark. You were here, and that made a difference. I don’t think that concept is entirely separate from pleasure, though you can find an emptier brand of pleasure if you choose.
