Is this a sign of growth?

I used to have so much to say when I was younger. Everything was worth saying. I built myself a filter of steel and now have trouble breaking my silence.
When did I start censoring myself?
How did I not notice me doing it?

Maybe you learned that there are other perspectives besides your own. That sometimes it's better to listen to others than to impose your views upon them. Or at least kinder.

Maybe you learned that actions speak louder than words. Or maybe it's that you've learned what really matters to you and choose to save your energy for those things.

There are many good reasons to hold your peace. This doesn't have to be a negative thing
