Life is weird

I work hard and provide.
I do a lot around the house and always go out of my way.
I am a good person that does good things for good reasons.

Yet still, I don't think people see it fully.
I doubt they appreciate it all for what it is.

If they did..., my opinion would matter more, and my voice might carry a bit more weight.
But it doesn't feel to me like I matter at all, past the things that I provide....

I live in the lands of the selfishly ignorant.
I recognize that fact.

It's just another day......

What a pessimistic post. You sound entitled. Don't do good things for good reasons, if it's going to make you feel bitter about those who don't. Live your best life, choose what really makes you happy, it's in your control. What other people do, and how they feel, is not.

It's cool. I'm just venting a little bit as my family seemingly assumes that I can do and provide this way forever.
