@TheOrionbeltseeker Thank you! So I guess I have to buy a converter the one I have won't work as it steps up the voltage, and no idea if it works both ways or not..I got it for free with an electronic device so don't even have much info about it

@TheOrionbeltseeker if your supply is 230v and you mistakenly bought an up instead of a down, would it deliver 460v instead of 115?

Isn't it 220 V?
To answer your question. I have one that has 2 outlets one for 120 V and one for 220 V though it's designed to go into 220 V wall outlet to power it up. I believe the same device would exist for 120 V wall outlets.

It probably depends on the converter. I imagine there are types that can do both, but also ones that only work one way or the other.
