When you see anything really old do you automatically compare that time to how old your parents would've been when it first came out?
My dad would have been 16 when the sound of music was in theaters. 😌 Simpler times

No, but I find myself remembering more about when some things first came out for me. The first time I heard a song for example. Or the first moments like when I brought my son home from the hospital. I can remember quite clearly how first moments felt. Like my first day of high school. How that building felt so big. My first date. My leaving home. Memories and moments. Regarding my parents, I can remember thinking of where they were in their lives at my age now. The world is a strange and beautiful place. Thank you for the good question.
