Why thecycle of life is to be young and dumb, do cringe stuff then turn depressed and crazy being middle aged and grow old and senile and not remember

The cycle of life is to change. The younger you are the quicker you change. The older you are the less you are willing to change. Eventually you will change to your components and become something else that changes.

This happens with everything. Even the earth, stars and galaxies themselves.
