As a black man in country, business office politics is racist, shady and illogical

I’m lost at what and how to move in an office workspace… when I was relatively talkative and jokey, I was moved to the back drive through…

Now I’m at the back drive through and I’m told that I’m being distant, combative, moody and quiet…

Now I’m getting sent home early and told that I’m wasting resources…

Is this racism, a witch hunt or…..?

What am I missing, how do you “play” office politics?… I’m just trying to show up to my job and go HOME! 🥲

What the fuck?

I run a union. Not saying I can magically get you a union but I can give work advice because yeah "combative moody" sounds racist at a casual glance.

It stuff like clicking out on time, (we use Microsoft teams, and I would see others just clock out as they walk out. But then, I was told I’m “stealing company time” by not clocking out as soon as work is done. So I started doing that, was offered a really large responsibility and reprimanded during that, then was put on an “performance improvement plan “ so I started showing up 20 minutes early so I’m “on time”…

Then was sent to several different branches, only to experience difficulty and New issues at each of these branches. I just want to do my job, balance perfectly and have decent paperwork and then go home…

I don’t understand the politics, the subtle digs, the passive aggressiveness and judgment, the shady moves like sending me home and starting a paper trail, my HR Manager literally told me, “ I would just make sure to document everything and I’m not just saying that as your HR Manager.”…. Like wtf??? Idk what to do, or what my options are other than leaving, but I don’t have another job in place yet… I just want to maintain where I’m at.. you know?…

Idk what protections or routes I can pursue.. I feel they are trying to paint me as a bad employee or a problem.. I’m literally one of the only people of color that work here.
