So today I brought my daughter to get her glasses adjusted

They have been slipping down her nose too often and needed to be adjusted again (frames)

The man was so nice to my daughter, and playful. She was looking at herself in the magnified lil mirror and laughing and peeking over at him. She then stops and looks at me and says “mommy look! He has dark skin!” I said “yes, I see… and your skin is light!” She said “that’s so cool!”. The guy chuckled and said “it is cool!”

@iamonfire696 she’s seen people of many colors… she always points out that she looks different than them… but she loves it. I’ve explained that there are so many colors of skin and how beautiful it is. She understands, but still points it out 😆

@WaryWitchWandering oh kids do that. I remember when I was walking in the mall when I oldest was 3 and there was a man wearing a dress and he asked him why. I was so embarrassed. My son told him it was a really pretty dress though.

@iamonfire696 it’s all innocent with kids though… they honestly just don’t care what people do or how they are, but they may be curious and say or ask things haha. They are blunt and they don’t have shame. It’s pretty lovely (for now hahah)

@WaryWitchWandering it is. They don’t judge, they just want to know why so they ask.

@iamonfire696 kids are amazing… and at times so ducking draining! I’m scared for myself, and for them as we all age.

Stress is high these days. Flight response high, which sucks so bad
