I wish I could go back in time to reassure my younger self everything would be worth it

She was a shipwreck survivor TERRIFIED that her best efforts wouldn’t be enough to to make it and she would drown just shy of the shore. First year of grad school done, FB washed up a letter in a bottle. A sobbing girl babbling a daydream about my cap and gown, hugging my kiddo, unaware someday there would be not one, but two graduation photos hung up above my desk 💜
