My 600 pound life , Tv show

I am disgusted with the families of the morbidly obese that are bed ridden,
Why do they keep giving them excess amounts of food that's horrible. When you love someone you should not enable them!
That's horrible

In some cases, it is due to mental illness.
Much like hoarders.
@chrisCA Sadly this is so very true.
chrisCA · M
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Also, some of it could be attributed to a lack of education.
@chrisCA Right.

When we look at the human being,
so many factors go into play to create a healthy/balanced VS unhealthy/unbalanced person.

And the cheap foods are poison and they create so many health issues...
So, combine some unfavourable factors
and you have a recipe for potential disaster.
chrisCA · M
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON True, but many "cheap foods" can be healthy. Rice, beans, and lentils as an example.
@chrisCAIt depends on who is eating this:

Rice has a ton of sugar so for people suffering form body wide Candida or leaky gut rice is contraindicated. The Beans and lentils also aggravate some people.

What is cheap is not always a health food.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON True. It is that the items I mentioned are staples in many Third World diets. I see many new arrivals in grocery stores buying large bags of rice. Canadians, and others want processed food.
@chrisCA Processed foods are not the answer to health.
@chrisCA True people from the third world eat more whole foods,
They don't snack as often either,

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON
I disgree with rice causing problems
An asian lady debunked that theory.
The so called gluten free business craze needs a market so they turn people againt whole foods like chris mentioned such as rice, lenthils and beans. If you look at the Asian communities they are mostly thin and even what they consider fat is nothing compared to the Average American obese person.

The reason why the obesity pandemic isn't ending is because it's multi billion dollar industry.
@RadiantRuby
I speak solely on my own life:
For me, rice, lentils and beans are a problem
and hindrance to optimum health.

It is more than just food which affects the human. However, it is a huge part of health, or lack of health.
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I'm sorry to hear that 🤗
Your missing out on cheap stables,
Can you give me examples of what you eat on your diet.
I always love to learn more about food intolerance

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I don’t think rice is the problem unless it’s part of a blood sugar spike and drop, then that can lead to excess hunger. Asians have eaten rice for thousands of years and until this past century there wasn’t a lot of obese Asians. It’s more likely sugar which creates hunger hormones and more sugar cravings and chemicals that are excitotoxins such as certain artificial sweeteners and MSG (which is an appetite stimulant) in processed foods and drinks.
@RadiantRuby If something makes a person unwell, they are helping themselves by not consuming that food.

A great site is celiac.com.

No need to be sorry.
We all are imperfect, and that's how it's supposed to be :)

@RadiantRuby I don’t think the gluten free businesses are doing that. I can’t have gluten, it causes leaky gut and inflames my joints and I have digestive problems. Wheat has been hybridized in the past few decades and the use of glysophospate (Round-up spray) on the crops right up until a couple days before harvest is a huge part of the problem with gluten intolerance.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I can’t have gluten. I haven’t eaten foods with it for nearly 5 years.
@cherokeepatti I am neither Asian, a scientist or a doctor.

However, I am an expert on myself.
And for me, rice is a problem.
@cherokeepatti It is for me a 'poison'.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Yes each person is different. At the present time rice and oats are the soothing grains I can manage with my digestive problems. That doesn’t mean I can eat a huge plate of it though.
@cherokeepatti Do you buy the GF rice and oat?
I have to with the oats and still, they make me bloat.

Grains are NOT my friend, Any grains.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I buy basmati rice and don’t have a problem with it and I don’t have a problem with oats. I have been eating instant oatmeal and it’s helping heal my digestion.
@cherokeepatti The weight gain in Asians is coming from the fried food craze in the last 15 years, there is an obsession with fried chicken in Asia. There's a Vietnamese youtuber that I like and he said they have fried chicken everywhere including the burgerking, mcdonald's franchise over there.

@RadiantRuby A Chinese woman told me a number of years ago that since they have more income that that they have buffet restaurants in China now, and processed foods and yes those fast-food restaurants and that the Chinese were beginning to get fat too.

@cherokeepatti I am sure that as more Asians, and Japanese started eating fast, and processed food, there was also an increase in diseases more common in the Western World.
@chrisCA Also the mexicans developed so many cases of diabetes after they started adding cheese to everything. Western food should be illegal, it's damn tasty though

@chrisCA It’s like this all over the world. People in remote island countries that used to subsist on fish they caught and fruit, veggies & coconut started getting small grocery stores with imports of processed foods. They are no longer lean like before, they have obesity epidemics in those island nations. If they went back to their native diet they’d do OK. This is also true of Aborigines and Natives in America etc. And 93% of the people in Samoa are obese…imported foods.
