Vulnerability

Vulnerability:- the quality or state of being exposed to the possibility of being attacked or harmed, either physically or emotionally.

What do others think of vulnerability? Should we seek to remain vulnerable? Are there benefits in simply not being vulnerable? Or in seeking not to be so? Or in pretending not to be so?

We should always be truthful, and loving! We are all sinners 馃榿
@Carazaa Being vulnerable is to question our "certainties". Remaining certain of them often involves lying to ourselves.
CarazaaF
@Tariki Being vulnerable is repenting, begging God for forgiveness, and turning away from our sin.
@Carazaa So you say. Such certainties!

You know what they say....the opposite of faith is not doubt. It is certainty. Invulnerability!

@Tariki

Such certainties?

Yep, absolute truth is a truth. It is not popular now when people make up their own truth, but it is a Satanic movement that there is no absolute truth. The entire world has bought in to this idea that everything is subjective, each their own, do what you want, be happy. This has destroyed families, and joy!
@Carazaa The absolute Truth is God Himself, variously known. In union with God by grace we can live and share that truth. Truth is Living, not held by creeds or formulas. It is unfolding, an "advance into novelty".

If you had genuine humility you would seek deeper understanding.

Sadly, by equating "truth" with your own creedal and time conditioned formulas you in effect deny truth.

鈥淸i]In giving us His love God has given us the Holy Spirit so that we can love Him with the love wherewith He loves Himself.鈥漑/i]

This is the pure orthodoxy of the Catholic Church, expressed by one of its greatest mystics, Meister Eckhart. The church which in your arrogance you called a "cult".

When the great "zen man" D. T. Suzuki heard those words he recognised the prajna wisdom of zen.

It simply needs humility. And vulnerability.

@Tariki Please be careful what you follow, that it isn't leading down a dangerous path away from the slaughtered lamb who loves us and is the only one who takes away the sins of the world. He is coming back soon to judge the living and the dead with 100, million angels.
@Carazaa Oh, please !

Stop your posturing.

I am simply telling you of the teachings of Christianity in its full strength, width and depth.

You subscribe to a virtual modernism.

Dismissing all you do not like or understand as "a dangerous path to take" is merely to protect yourself from a deeper knowledge of Christ.

Jude 1

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words], having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
@Carazaa Please, give it a rest. Your insecurities are evident.
@Carazaa Hi, just to say that I am very familiar with the NT. Have been for over 40 years.

There is no point in this continuing.

Reluctantly I will block you. You are an unnecessary irritant in my life that I can do without.

You are of course free to interpret the block as you see fit according to your own presumptions.

Thank you.
