I simply love this one.

It just doesn’t mean that I criticise the one who wears the brands.
Just sharing my view.

agreed. But i love some good brand specialised clothing, like a pair of hiking pants, a lightweight waterproof jacket, a backpack with the right support etc

@elafina clothing with a good purpose is fine, and some of that cost a bit of money but if you need it you’ll get a lot of use out of it for a long time, it’s not trendy to go out of style.

@cherokeepatti I couldn’t put it better myself.

@cherokeepatti yep, a good item can last for long and it's absolutely worth it, sometimes you pay the cost of paying less too.. Sometimes it's not really about not having the money but about prioritising wrongly. One can spend the same anount on a week's food delivery and then complain they cannot afford an item. But that's a different subject, yes i am not talking about style in the end.

@elafina the boy is a teenager and I buy him basic clothing. He doesn’t care about status brands. Bought him 2 thermal long-sleeve shirts at Sam’s club in solid colors and he’s wearing those in cold weather to school. Most of his t-shirts are solid color basic shirts, he likes black shorts and black pants or sweatpants, just basic stuff and is comfortable. He goes to a small private school and told me the students there never mention brand names or even wear the fancy stuff. They are more interested in doing things.

@cherokeepatti he's lucky then to be surrounded by such an environment!:)

@elafina this is his last year at the private school, it only goes to 8th grade. Let’s see how public high school goes. Maybe he won’t care by then. I think the peer pressure for brands of things start in junior high.
