I simply love this one.

It just doesn’t mean that I criticise the one who wears the brands.
Just sharing my view.

Truth. I know a young man who is a teacher. When he was doing his student teaching one semester they kept moving him from school to school in central Oklahoma so he could see how it was to teach in different schools. There is one school district where about 93% of the students get free meals and he said he could look at the way a student was dressed and tell whether they had working parents or those on welfare. The working parents had their children dressed down in basic clothing, maybe from Walmart or even yard sales, no fancy labels or coordinating fancy sports outfits like the other students were wearing. And he said the students who’s parents were not working and getting benefits had no qualms about bragging about what all their family was receiving in benefits either.

@cherokeepatti I have been criticised most of the time for not being branded. Actually I don’t find it relevant to make myself understand that world will respect me only when I am all branded. 😔

@Fertilization this designer stuff started with Gloria Vanderbilt jeans in the early 80’s. I heard a clothing designer say on a talk show back then if you paid more than $20 for a pair of denim jeans with someone’s advertising on the butt pockets then you were paying too much and you could buy a good pair of Levi jeans back then for $20. Then there were Guess jeans, I remember girls my daughter’s age all thinking they should get a pair after the trend started with women wearing them. My daughter asked for them for over a year and I told her they were $50 a pair and I would give her what I paid for her Chic jeans and she could make up the difference because I wasn’t buying Guess jeans. She never bought any. For that much money I could buy her 2 pair of jeans (on sale) plus a couple of tops and some socks and probably have change leftover.
