What was your most traumatic experience, and how did you cope with or recover from it?

The one that affected me the most is when a social worker was taking me to what i guess was my first foster home .She told me i was going to be with my family. Maybe she said new family but all i heard was my family. I was so excited ,when we got there they opened the door and it was 2 people I'd never seen before. I looked at the social worker and said no this isn't my parents!! I started back to the car but she brought me back .She was leaving i panicked, wait it's a mistake!! The new man looked at me said we're sorry your parents died but you're staying here now. I still wake up in that doorway in my dreams.
