Which third world country is the neediest?
Sometimes I think that one thing that has value would be to help educate poor hungry children.

'Country' is misleading.
The reality is that many of the countries with the most extreme need are in conflict or high levels of instability. One step forwards, two steps backwards. Sometimes just being there is a powerful thing.
Secondly - communities are not the same as countries. Sometimes extreme need is hidden within the average wealth or indicators of the country (the gini coeficient this is called.) You can pretty much go so many of the countries in the lower half of the human development index and you'll find significant need. You can find refugee populations in extremely dire need in many countries that you wouldn't classify as needy...
