As people we try to be loving, forgiving, and be there for people. At least if we are decent people. However, people are people. and we can forget, or have misunderstandings, or be busy, or broke, People can also have stress and personal problems that they don't want people to know about, or even major disasters.

So we need to be forgiving and kind when people" let us down". We don't know what they are going through. We should never expect people to "be there for us". We should understand that they have lives too and not be judgmental. Just because we were there for them a few times in the past, does not mean they "owe us"

I remember in the past giving quite a lot of money to a friend since she had some money problems. I did too a year later but she never offered to help me. At the time I felt bitter, but that was immature of me because I didn't give her the money to get anything back, right? I gave it because I had it to give, and she might not have it to give back ever.

We should not give to people to expect them to do the same. That is not love. That's buying people or using people to make US feel special.

If we care for someone then we just want to see them happy!
