I do know people who wouldn’t know the first thing about being happy and grateful for what good they do have in their lives and I avoid them. I don’t want to be brought down.
ruckuz · 41-45, M
@Keepitsimple thanks I needed to hear the attitude of gratitude aspect I have lots to be thankful for.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@ruckuz I hope you enjoy your day today. There are good things in life. Sometimes we overlook the small things because we’re used to Having them. Not everyday is 100% but I prefer to look at life like the cup is half full 😉
@Keepitsimple ...except that your cups runneth over... 😉😆

I think one could fall under that category. I know more who seem to be stuck in the mud. Like they’re not comfortable with positivity and happiness seems to be slippery for them.

@JustNik Help me!

JustNik · 51-55, F
@Degbeme 😂😂😂 I was thinking of their boots, but this could work too I spose.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
I may be like this… but don’t want to be?
@WaryWitchWandering Well, if you are self-aware enough to see it, you can change it. 😊

Most such persons probably think that the rest of the world needs to change to fit THEM.

It's brave to see it in yourself, braver to say that of yourself, and I wish you well in trying to change it. 😊
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@SomeMichGuy thanks 😊
@WaryWitchWandering No prob! Go be a better...wandering wary witch. 😉😆
ruckuz · 41-45, M
I saw this and kind of said to myself maybe I am.
Myzery · 41-45, F
Myself, more than likely.

It is the strangest thing...perhaps some kind of hypnosis. I don't think all people in this cycle revel in it. It is hard sometimes to see the possibilities and to acknowledge or even be aware of all possibilities and that All Things Are Possible when one has had a rotten run in life. Especially from a young age. It can give one the feeling of having been robbed of their life or at least of their youth.

To anyone having a hard time: Hang in there, believe in yourself. Hobbies are good. Creativity I found to be the most galvanising thing of all - a kind of forcefield. Endure. Fuck them all.

In fact...to hell with them...use the toilet late at night. take a dump. Take a loud slash and take joy in flushing. be disruptive. Disrupt the pattern. Cause chaos. Be rude [or at least carefree / refuse to overthink].

Make them not know what to do about how to control you.

Make them all work for it. Make them all tired for a change.

Let them know you're there.

Embrace the madness and through it, joy can be found wholesale.

yeah, i do know people who are miserable and instead of tryin to do things to turn their life around, they only complain and whine and never try to make it better. i try to stay away from them.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
No. But plenty who are apathetic to do any changes on their own and just wait for a miracle to happen or something. Probably me included.

Like, most of the people here. No offense. But I think that is part of what draws us to sites like these. It's a place to commiserate.

@SW-User It's becoming more positive or at least I am and am noticing more and more a growing sense of positivity about the place.

@SW-User That may be true if your an only child, But when you look like your father and he just left the evil soul sucking insidious Narcissist... The relationship is a bit strained.

@Thevy29 Takes all sorts, pal. 👍
Fluffybull · F
Yes. Some people seem to enjoy being unhappy and resent any suggestions as to how they can improve their life.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Fluffybull More likely they want their problems to resolve on their own without them making any effort to get rid of them.
My dad loves being angry.
@canusernamebemyusername That sucks. Sorry. 😣
