What kind of stupid stuff did you do as a child?

• My room was messy, but everything was a project of some kind. For example, the Jack's bag beside my bed was for a mouse. It would eat fries while I was in bed. It made me feel less afraid to be alone.

• When my mother would vacuum the house, I would get down on my hands and knees and bark at the vacuum. I can still see her facial expression to this day. It was the look of defeat and sadness.

• I would spend hours outside setting up toy soldiers, then shoot them with a BB gun. I would also set them on fire. I made all the sound effects, such as people screaming and explosions.

• I was the kid who dropped his pants all the way to the ground to use the urinal.

Growing up in NI and seeing soldiers come through our neighbourhood during the troubles and approaching a soldier [I'm six at the time for context] and asking him if I can touch/see his gun.

Lucky I didn't get one of those guys that was completely PTSD/fubar...and we lived in one of the nicer neighbourhoods. I still don't think they actually technically should really have been going through that area at all. Dunno if someone crank called them and gave false bomb info or what.

There were two times helicopters flew really alarmingly low too. I am sure one flew so low it caused the laundry on the line to move. Maybe near misses involving drunk soldiers who were about to go full postal? Trainees who nearly crashed? Who knows.

Anyone ever think about stuff like that? [If they had a near miss with a postal soldier/other potentially postal types...not going postal themselves.] Like if you were nearly a fatality on the news for no good reason.
@SW-User They usually fly low for training exercises or search and/or rescue. It's also inaccurate that soldiers are just ticking time bombs.

@HUNT5M4N I believe that about soldiers. I just mean that they are also people and that thay are people first and foremost - and therefore human...and some humans are crazy.
@SW-User I guess I would trust a soldier more than Uncle Jimmy of the Georgia Militia. 😆

@HUNT5M4N I wish I understood that reference. Is it some southern yahoo thing?

Not hating on the south, I actually kinda have a thing for southern chicks because of Lenore Zann's Rogue voice. Hubba hubba. <3
@SW-User Well, we have militias all over the country. They lack proper training most of the time, and they're desperate to put their "skills" to use.

@HUNT5M4N Sounds like over here 🤣
@SW-User I imagine militias in Nicaragua have a more serious threat to face.

@HUNT5M4N Lol oh I mean Northern Ireland not Nicaragua. Thankfully enough. Guessing they have it a teensy weensy bit worse than I did/do.
