Great Weekend!

My son and I spent the weekend at my dad's house. They live off the grid, so to speak. I went deep into the woods, and I found a shelter that I had built when I was a child. We repaired it, cleared out an area around it, and built a fire pit. We found six trees that had fallen, so we chopped them up into firewood. I removed the bark on some of the wood, just to use it to get the fire started. We collected water from the stream, then filtered it for drinking. We were also able to cook over the fire. That right there is a great weekend.
