Is narcissism hereditary?

My ex was a narcissist, but surprisingly most of his family members were too
No. Growing up in a narcissistic family will make you realize people are dead inside and only seek to serve themselves with no qualms of using you for their gains. They adapt and pick up on that as kids and that's how they bet by. They just think that's how they are supoosed to be

Learned by observation as very young children.

By the age of five a child will show some of the same social behaviors as the ones that raised them (usually the biological parents). 😔

More probably a learned and/or taught behaviour like racism.

I think its a bit of both. Having a parent with narcissism and being raised without accountability or consequences for bad behavior

I think Narcissism is environmental in origin..

I think however psychopaths are born..
