Status much?

So those of you know, I have a mental and emotional impairment, those with Asperger's see the world completely different, but I do see it for what it is, a beautiful land, with disgusting people on it, life itself is not bad, it's the world we humans, society, has created, we don't know how we got here, and one day the animals won't know that we came, it's life.

So anyways, the more I try to understand the world that other humans created, society, the more it just hurts my brain, but it is evident now that your job title, is almost everything, I've seen people gather around, after a warm greetings and fakes smiles, it's "what do you do?" How you answer that determines how they treat and see you, I've seen people grimace, snort, sigh, shake their heads as to such answers, I've seen people act surprised, interested, and all out seduced when one says what they do, it's evident your job, is your status, even marrying such a person, with a "high status job" can change the way you are seen, and gives you access to different crowds.
Working an average job, you are treated as nothing more than an average mule, but if you belong there I guess you belong there.

Most people equate status, job titles, with making money and, that means you're achieving what they believe is life's goal. They feel if they align themselves with someone who has money, it will reflect upon them in some way, and they too will be viewed as "successful."

The bottom line is, don't hang around with people who are only into status and money. They'll always make anyone they don't view as successful, feel as if they have no worth. They're toxic to your soul.

Happiness is a state of mind. We all have control over how we view ourselves and the world around us. Surrounding ourselves with positivity, finding friends who value us for what we are, not what we can do for them, enjoying our lives and working in an environment we love, making enough money to be comfortable, is the key to living a happy and content life.

I was startled when I changed careers and found that I got an entirely different reaction from people I'd just met. "what do you do" indeed is to judge the entire person.

The world is full of sheep. So if you can become a shepherd, you can have a herd of your own. So it is individual's choice to remain a sheep or become a shepherd.

Sadly that is often the case.
I think all workers should be respected, making divisions over income and job title just divides the working class.
